The full moon rises in Sagittarius, the zodiac’s final fire sign, on June 14. With arrow nocked, this sign constantly seeks truth with the limitless enthusiasm and boundless expansion of its ruler, Jupiter.

Each newsreel cycles us from celebration to sadness these days. Whether we feel let down or empowered lies in our self-reliance rather than a dependence on others—not a call for blind optimism but a cry for focused precision.

“If systems disappoint,” suggests Lynn, “we can lean into empowerment, engagement, and presence. Instead of escaping, we can transform our helplessness into action.”

A square to Neptune makes us reach our own realistic conclusions. “It could mean,” Lynn notes, “that an illusion is being withdrawn.”

This is also a supermoon (full at its orbital point closest to Earth), making it appear up to 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than other full moons—an optical illusion reminding us that our experience of reality is not precise.

“It’s good to feel uplifted,” cautions Lynn, ”but beware of investing in illusion. Belief means different things to different people, and there’s a lot of polarization in today’s world.”

In other words, faith without self-referral—without relating creed to consciousness—can be dangerous. It’s how separations become craters, and we land on opposite sides of an uncrossable abyss, lost in ideology or rigid systems.

The Cosmos Above the Chasm

Sagittarius is a sign of unified polarities. Chiron doesn’t care about his opposing elements and doesn’t disown or revere his equine or human nature. By accepting duality, he commits to balancing himself through tools (bow and arrow) and intention (open sky). We can follow suit and gather under the cosmos’ unbound potential instead of splitting over the vast chasm of our differences.
