Miraval’s Watermelon Jicama Salad

This summertime dish is cool, refreshing, and perfect for guilt-free indulgence.

Yields 10 servings
(Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free & Vegan)

Ingredients:

  • Watermelon – 5 cups  (about ½ watermelon) cut into 1-in. batons
  • Jícama julienned -1 root
  • Sunflower Sprouts – 1 cup
  • Paprika – ½ tsp
  • Honey – ¼ cup
  • Lemon Juice – 2 tbs.
  • Lime Juice – 2 tbs.
  • Sea Salt – ¼ tsp.

Serving Amount: About 1/2 cup
Calories Per Serving: 50

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl combine watermelon, jícama, and sunflower sprouts.
  2. In a separate bowl mix remaining ingredients and drizzle dressings over salad.
  3. Toss gently with dressing just before serving, as this will keep the sprouts firm.

Miraval Golden Milk

Golden milk is a traditional Indian drink that has its roots in Ayurveda. In its simplest form, it’s a blend of hot milk and ground turmeric – perfect over ice or as a hot cozy beverage before bed after a long day by the pool.

Yields 1 Quart
(Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free)

Ingredients:

  • Almond Milk – 1 quart
  • Tumeric – 4 g
  • Cinnamon– 2.5 g
  • Cayenne– 1 pinch
  • Fresh Grated Ginger – 13 g
  • Black Pepper – 2 g
  • Vanilla Bean– ½ pod
  • Clove – 2 g
  • Honey – 1/4 cup

Serving Amount: 12 oz
Calories Per Serving: 130

Directions:

  1. Bring all ingredients to a simmer, then strain.
  2. Let cool, and serve.
